The Steelers have added to their offensive line.
Former Chicago Bears guard Rashaad Coward posted on Twitter Monday afternoon that he had signed with Pittsburgh.
Coward played in 16 games for the Bears last season, starting five of them.
The 26-year-old was a restricted free agent but was not offered a contract by the Bears.
Coward can also play tackle in a pinch. He started his career out as a nose tackle.
Coward’s move to Pittsburgh was kind of leaked during a game of Call of Duty.
His wife is an avid gamer and has a Twitch account which shows her playing games such as “Call of Duty.”
On Saturday, a Reddit user by the name of ProbationOfficer2035 posted in the NFL subreddit that he was playing “Call of Duty: Warzone” and was paired with a female teammate.
He wrote that he could hear the women’s husband in the background talking about a “deal” and how he would love to play in Pittsburgh.
The user said he tried to pry some info out of her but she felt uncomfortable and only said her husband was an NFL player. The user said he looked up her gamertag (which he did not provide in the post) and said the woman had pictures wearing Chicago Bears gear.
