The Steelers have signed former Ohio State guard Malcolm Pridgeon and have waived/injured defensive lineman Calvin Taylor.
Pridgeon came into the NFL undrafted in 2019 with the Houston Texans and most recently was on a reserve/future contract with the Cleveland Browns before the beginning of last season.
Pridgeon opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns and was released by Cleveland in February.
Starting in 14 games at Ohio State, Pridgeon played with Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins in 2018.
Pridgeon led the team in snaps for the Buckeyes in 2017 and 2018 with 1,170 winning two Big Ten Championships in a row.
