A day after making cuts to bring the roster down to the league-mandated 53-man roster the Steelers are making some moves.

According to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, offensive lineman John Leglue is signed to the practice squad

Leglue is known for his versatility on the offensive line but has spent most of the preseason at guard.

He was referred to as a "swing offensive lineman" and was the emergency third-line center.

Signed to the practice squad at the end of camp last season, Leglue was signed to the active roster on November 27, making five starts and appearing in six games.

The Steelers lost defensive back defensive back Justin Layne.

He was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants.

In three years with Pittsburgh, Layne appeared in 43 games with 41 total tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams.

Layne was on the field for just two percent of the team’s defensive snaps last season and participated in 50 percent of the special teams snaps.

Layne was arrested in April 2021 while driving under suspension, speed limit violations and having a firearm in his vehicle near his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly signing Steelers seventh-round pick quarterback Chris Oladokun.

Oladokun got very few snaps in Training Camp and was released during a second-round of cuts last week.
