Report: Steelers will hold extended walk-thru Saturday for Ben's sake

If Roethlisberger passes his COVID tests he'll start. Knees not an issue

According to a report, the Steelers will hold an extended walk-thru on Saturday to accommodate quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

A source tells 93.7 The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi that the team will, "do more than usual to make sure Ben is comfortable."

Poni adds that if Roethlisberger passes his COVID tests, he will start.

He added that his knees do not seem to be a concern for the team "at all."

Roethlisberger was placed on the team's Reserve/COVID list Tuesday after contact tracing was conducted to find out how had been in close contact with tight end Vance McDonald, who tested positive for coronavirus on Monday.

Roethlisberger's knees were also a concern. He reportedly injured both of them in a hit late in the second quarter of Sunday's win in Dallas. He was able to continue playing, throwing a touchdown pass before heading into the locker room early to be evaluated.

He returned for the second half and after the same said his knee was fine.
