Hall of Famer and four-time Super Bowl champion, Steelers quarterback legend Terry Bradshaw isn’t one to shy away from an opinion.
Speaking to a radio show in Arkansas on Tuesday, Bradshaw called the idea of the Steelers trying to sign and waiting for quarterback Aaron Rodgers “a joke.”
“What are you gonna do?” Bradshaw said on 103.7 The Buzz. “Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there."
Bradshaw said he hasn’t had great interactions with Rodgers in the past and when he introduced himself to the 4-time MVP, he got a cold reception.
“You walk in there and you get in his presence and you felt like it was going to start snowing,” said Bradshaw.
The Fan Morning Show talked about Bradshaw’s comments on Wednesday and compared his comments to another Steelers legendary quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.
Big Ben recently said on his podcast that without Rodgers, he sees the Steelers finishing 7-10 and with him, 11-6.
“Bradshaw doesn’t like Rodgers because he thinks Rodgers . . . is an egomaniac,” said Adam Crowley. “Bradshaw’s an egomaniac!”
Bradshaw has had a tenuous relationship with Pittsburgh and the Steelers since his playing days ended, not attending Dan Rooney or Chuck Noll’s funerals.
But, time heals all wounds.
“People have called Ben, at the very least, passive aggressive, but the way that he treated Mason Rudolph was junk,” said Crowley. “Ben and Bradshaw haven’t exactly always seen eye-to-eye. I think Aaron Rodgers fits this franchise perfectly when you consider the two guys that have won Super Bowls at the quarterback position for this franchise.”
