Tests confirm Bud Dupree out for season with ACL tear

The Steelers linebacker will be a free agent next year

The Steelers worst fears have been confirmed.

Linebacker Bud Dupree will be out for the rest of the 2020 season and is looking forward to next year.

During a play late in the fourth quarter the Steeler linebacker was rushing Ravens quarterback Trace McSorley when his knee gave out.

Dupree immediately started pounding the ground in frustration, a bad sign.

Dupree then limped off the field and threw his helmet in frustration.

After being looked at on the bench, Dupree limped into the locker room to be evaluated.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed that additional tests showed that Dupree did in fact tear his ACL.

Some of Dupree's teammates reacted to the news with support.

Dupree was given the franchise tag by the Steelers before the start of the season.

The 27-year-old will be a free agent next season.

The Steelers lost linebacker Devin Bush earlier in the season to the same injury.
