BALTIMORE (93.7 The Fan) – Ravens again made too many plays and the Steelers started off slow. From the Derrick Henry 44-yard run to a too little too late comeback. The BIG PLAYS from the season-ending 28-14 loss in Baltimore.
1st quarter
· Ravens start at their own five-yard line, Lamar Jackson rushed four consecutive times for 18 yards early in 1st drive
· Derek Henry lines up at quarterback in Wildcat and rushes left side for 34 yards, pushing Minkah Fitzpatrick down on the way
· TD, 3rd and 13, Jackson has time and finds Rashod Bateman cutting across the end zone for a 15-yard score beating Donte Jackson (13 plays, 95 yards, 7:13), 7-0 Baltimore
· On flea-flicker attempt, Russell Wilson holds onto ball and sacked -3 yards, start of a 3-and-out series
· 3rd & 4, Jackson has time to throw as Lightly pulls away from Cam Sutton in coverage for 25 yards.
2nd quarter
· Following a Patrick Queen tackle for loss, Steelers able to force a Ravens punt on its second possession
· 3rd and 2, Wilson throws into the flat to Pat Freiermuth, but he’s stopped after 1 yard. Mike Tomlin decides to punt on 4th and inches from own 29-yard line.
· Ravens had a pair of 3rd and 1 conversions and then a Jackson 17-yard run followed by a Henry 17-yard run
· TD, Henry broke several tackles to go 8 yards into the end zone (13 plays, 85 yards, 7:56), 14-0
· Steelers finally hit a big play, George Pickens catches a bomb into the Baltimore red zone, but called for offensive pass interference. Wilson would dump a pass to Freiermuth and force a punt
· Steelers call time out on 3rd and 3 with 1:14 to play, Jackson throws 9 yards to Bateman and then 25 to Nelson Agholor. Jackson would hit Mark Andrews in the middle, he out hustles the rest of the Steelers defense to get out of bounds as Baltimore had no time outs left. Jackson then found likely, who shoved Sutton to the ground and gained 19.
· TD, Jackson scrambles for 7 seconds and finds Justice Hill wide open for 5-yard catch (9 plays, 90 yards, 1:51), 21-0
3rd quarter
· Steelers forced a second Ravens punt with the ball downed at the Steelers 2
· 3rd and 9 from the 3, Wilson hits Calvin Austin over the middle and he gets clobbered, but holds on for 25 yards
· 3rd and 5, Wilson finds Mike Williams down the left sideline with a perfect pass for 37 yards
· TD, Wilson again left side to Van Jefferson for a 30-yard score (9 plays, 98 yards, 3:24), 21-7
· 1st play after the TD, Alex Highsmith sacks Jackson for a 10-yard loss
· TD, the next 3 plays, 21-yard completion to Tylan Wallace, 15-yard inside handoff to Steven Sims, 44-yard Derrick Henry run for score (4 plays, 70 yards, 2:10), 28-7
· Just before he would be tackled, Wilson finds Najee Harris on a screen and he runs between the defenders for 21 yards
· TD, Wilson perfect pass between a pair of defenders for 36-yard connection to George Pickens (5 plays, 70 yards, 2:25), 28-14
· Big pass breakup by DeShon Elliott against Andrews to stop a double-digit pass play as the defense forces a 3rd and out
· Steelers get a couple of first downs, but on 3rd and 8, Wilson rolls left and sacked for -8 yards.
4th quarter
· Ravens with a couple of conversions before having to punt
· Wilson threw a jump ball to Pickens, but a penalty and sack stalled the Wilson threw one up for grabs in triple coverage to Austin, incomplete on 4th and 15
