PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – What to know about the three pre-NFL Draft interviews at the Steelers facility on Tuesday.

Steelers.com reporting a trio making their visit in Pittsburgh today including a potential first-round cornerback

Maryland corner Deonte Banks

The first impression might be, oh great another Maryland player. This one seems pretty legit as a future NFL starting cornerback. He has the size 6'2" and 205 pounds. Like Joey Porter, Jr.
at Penn State, he doesn't have the interception numbers, only two, but that's mostly because few threw his way. This past season was his only full at Maryland finishing with 38 tackles (25 solo), a half a sack, a pick and eight passes defended. He had two pass breakups and a blocked extra point against Ohio State and was Honorable Mention All-Big Ten. He missed most of the 2021 season with a shoulder injury. Pro Football Network said Banks is an athlete who can do everything from staying with deep receivers to having the hips to turn in shorter areas.

NC State safety Tanner Ingle

A First-Team All-ACC safety who had a 13-tackle game against Florida State and in his last two seasons with the Wolfpack combined for 165 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and nine passes defended. He's 5'9", 179 pounds who has played well in run support with good closing speed according to Pro Football Network.

NC State offensive lineman Chandler Zavala

He was a transfer from Fairmont State and missed seven games of his first season at NC State with a back injury. He's relatively new to football, the 6'5", 325 pound guard played only one year of football before college. He ranks as the sixth-best interior offensive lineman and almost certainly a third-day pick. Curious visit with the adds to the interior of the offensive line during the offseason.
