Freiermuth remains in concussion protocol, Dotson to return to practice

During his weekly press conference on Tuesday, Coach Mike Tomlin said that Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth remains in concussion protocol.

Tomlin said that the protocols in place will be the Steelers' guide with Freiermuth as the week goes on.


On Monday, fellow tight end Zach Gentry said that Freiermuth was doing "alright."

Tomlin also updated other injuries.

Guard Kevin Dotson, who has been on the Reserve/Injured list since mid-November is expected to return to practice this week beginning his 21 day window of either activating him or ending his season.

Center/guard J.C. Hassenauer, who returned to practice last week, remains on the Reserve/Injured list.

Defensive end Chris Wormley, who left the game against the Titans with a groin injury, is being evaluated.

Isaiah Buggs who was ruled out of last Sunday's game continues to deal with an ankle injury, according to Tomlin.
