PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He didn’t even play the complete game, still TJ Watt named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Ravens.

Watt had a pair of sacks, three tackles for loss and eight total tackles. It’s the seventh time Watt has earned the honor which ties him for most by a Steelers player with Hall of Famer Troy Polamalu. TJ also now has the same number of Player of the Week honors as his brother JJ Watt.

While Watt was named the player of the week he was not named All-Pro by the NFL Players Association. They list Cleveland’s Myles Garrett and Las Vegas’ Maxx Crosby as the two edge rushers. Aaron Donald did make the team at interior defensive lineman.

The Steelers had no players listed on the first team, Dallas led everyone with five, the 49ers had four. Lamar Jackson was the quarterback selected. Along with Watt, former Penn State and Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons did not make the team.
