Will the Piano Man be playing PNC Park next season?
On Monday the Pirates said they will be making a big concert announcement on Thursday.
In a release, the Pirates said that “The Best Ballpark in America will play host to one of the most iconic musicians of the modern era.”
Former pitcher/broadcaster Steve Blass and former Pirates second baseman and current Pirates broadcaster Neil Walker will Join Pirates President Travis Williams to make the announcement.
As the Post-Gazette’s Scott Mervis points out Joel has already announced dates at Notre Dame Stadium, Comerica Park in Detroit and Minute Maid Park in Houston for next year.
In addition, Joel does fit the description in the release and is considered one of the greatest performers of all-time.
Joel has played PNC Park in the past, last appearing there in 2016.
