The Matt Canada experiment has looked like a failure in his second season with the Steelers, but Mike Tomlin said over the bye week that he will not be making any changes at offensive coordinator, much to the chagrin of many fans.
So it looks like Canada has nine games to keep his job, but the way things are trending it isn't looking good.
"Changing in the middle of the season, wasn't something [Mike Tomlin] was going to do," Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo told the PM Team.
Fittipaldo adds thanks to the three-points the Indianapolis Colts scored on Sunday against the Patriots, they are now 32nd in total offensive points, with the Steelers 31st.
He adds that even if Mike Tomlin wants to bring back Canada, which he says could be a possibility, "I just don't know how you go forward if things continue down the road the way they are . . . it could be a situation where Art [Rooney II] overrules Mike [Tomlin]," said Fittipaldo.
So even with Canada's performance so far, would Tomlin believe that Canada is the answer in 2023?
