Three people were killed in a house fire that tore through a Montebello home on Thursday morning.
Police responded to the 100 block of S. 5th St. around 4:30 a.m., Flames quickly spread to a nearby power pole, knocking out electricity in the area after a loud explosion.
A child was found dead inside the home, and a man and woman were taken to a hospital in critical condition where they later died, according to the Montebello Police Department.
Montebello Police Chief Luis Lopez said they are investigating reports that this was a domestic violence-related incident.
