Two people were shot within blocks of each other in Watts Tuesday, and a suspect was taken into custody, but it was unclear if the attacks were related.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of East 114th Street around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday on a report of shots fired, and a gunshot victim was found and taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Another shooting was reported within minutes at Central Avenue and 112th Street, where another victim was discovered, also in unknown condition, and a suspect was arrested.
