
LOS ANGELES (KNX) — An 80-year-old man was shot to death and another man in his 60s was pistol-whipped during a home invasion Thursday night in Encino, police said.
Officers were called at 5:15 p.m. to respond to a home in the 4500 block of Densmore Avenue for an assault with a deadly weapon.

Responding officers learned a white SUV with two suspects arrived at the home and fired several shots inside after entering, according to police.
One man, identified by the Los Angeles Police Department as 80-year-old Stuart Herman, was found dead at the scene.
The younger victim reportedly tried to render aid to Herman, according to CBS Los Angeles. The relationship between the two victims was not immediately known.
The suspects remain at large. A description was not immediately available.
