LOS ANGELES (KNX) - The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for help locating an 81-year-old man last seen in the area of the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital.
Frank Charles Rand was last seen at 2:00 p.m. yesterday near the 11300 block of Wilshire Boulevard, an LAPD news release said.
Rand is in a wheelchair and is missing his left leg. He also has dementia and may not know his way home. Rand's family is very concerned for his safety, the LAPD said.
Rand is described as an 81-year-old Black man, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'9 and approximately 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, green pajamas, black beanie, and blue puffy jacket.
Anyone with information on Rand's whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800, or 877-LAPD-247 outside of business hours. Anonymous tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
