Prosecutors revealed during a brief court hearing on Thursday that they discovered child pornography on the phone belonging to singer D4vd.
The hearing in downtown Los Angeles, according to KNX News’ Jon Baird, was regarding prosecutors turning over their material to defense attorneys.
Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman told the judge that the singer’s iPhone contained a “significant amount of child pornography”.
The singer, whose real name is David Burke, was charged with killing and dismembering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose body parts were discovered in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to the singer back in September.
Baird reported that both sides agreed to return to court again next week to see how quickly a preliminary hearing can be held in the case. Burke did not speak at the hearing.
