This giraffe chase must have been a pain in the neck.
A new video reveals a group of voyagers getting an authentic safari experience.
Tourists on a recent safari in Kenya faced the unpredictability of nature in stride when they were charged in their vehicle by a “very angry” giraffe, Fox News reports.
A clip captured by Dicken Muchena and shared by South West News Service reveals a giraffe dashing down a dirt path and vehemently chasing the vehicle in which he was riding.
Muchena, 27, and others in the truck seemed unphased during the incident in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, as evidenced by their laughter off-camera.
The clip shows the giraffe galloping towards the vehicle and catching up to it before moving ahead of the truck.
The driver was eventually able to dart out of the way and lose the animal.
Despite keeping it together, Muchena admits the incident was startling.
“The giraffe seemed harmless at first — but all of a sudden it turned foul and chased us from its natural habitat,” Muchena said. “It even tried to block our exit at one point – but we managed to get away.”
“It was certainly a scary adventure,” he added.
No one was reportedly injured during the chase.
