‘It’s technically stage zero’ - ‘Boy Meets World’ actress shares cancer diagnosis

“Boy Meets World” actress Danielle Fishel shared on Monday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 43-year-old, who played Topanga on the hit 90s show, made the announcement on “Pod Meets World,” the podcast she cohosts with her former costars Rider Strong and Will Fiedle.

“I was diagnosed with high-grade DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) with micro invasion, and I'm going to be fine,” Fishel explained. “It is very, very, very early. It’s technically stage zero.”

She said that she plans to have surgery to get the cancer removed. DCIS, according to the Mayo Clinic, is a “very early form” of breast cancer where the cancer cells have not spread but are restricted in the milk ducts.
