SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KNX) — A Santa Clarita sneaker store is the latest victim of Los Angeles County’s smash-and-grab trend, according to the sheriff’s department.

The burglary happened in the early hours of Thursday morning at Undisputed Sole, located in the Westfield Valencia Town Center mall.

Authorities said four men smashed the window of the store and took merchandise but they were unable to say how much was taken or what the value of the stolen items was.

KTLA reported the suspects used hammers to smash the window.

No arrests have been made and suspect descriptions were not immediately available. The burglary remained under investigation as of Friday morning.

The sneaker store burglary followed ones of similar magnitude across the county. Just last week, a group of at least seven people rushed a jewelry stall at the Del Amo Plaza in Rancho Dominguez, stealing jewelry and cash before fleeing.

And in late November, Los Angeles police arrested three suspects believed to be responsible for a smash-and-grab robbery at The Grove shopping complex.
