A vehicle caught fire and crashed into a signal pole Wednesday in Cathedral City.
The incident took place Wednesday morning at the intersection of Date Palm Drive and Vista Chino, according to spokesman Ryan Hunt of the Cathedral City Police Department.
Hunt said the city's Public Works Department assigned a crew to repair the pole after the fire was extinguished.
The process of fixing the pole "could take a few days to complete," Hunt said. He urged drivers to exercise caution while traveling in the area.
It wasn't immediately clear if the driver was injured.
