Police said the attack occurred Thursday night on the beach just before 10 p.m. The young girl was hospitalized with “serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”
The dead coyote was found at Dog Beach.
Officials said a DNA test will be performed on the animal to see if it was the coyote who was involved in the attack.
