Three Americans are back on U.S. soil after a prisoner exchange with Russia.

Journalist Evan Gershkovich, and two others arrived at Joint Base Andrews shortly before midnight to reunite with their families.

Butler native Marc Fogel? Still in a Russian labor camp for having a small amount of medical marijuana.

Fogel Family attorney Sasha Phillips told KDKA Radio's Michael Bartley Marc has been in prison for three years and questions efforts to free him.

“I do believe that if they were in fact doing everything, everything within their power to bring Marc home, they would’ve done this by now,” said Phillips.

Phillips says 14-years in prison is a death sentence for Fogel, who is in poor health.

She adds that Fogel has had multiple back and other surgeries.

Lawmakers from Pennsylvania have called on the Biden administration to list Fogel as wrongfully held but it hasn't happened, something Senator Bob Casey called intolerable and unacceptable.

Fogel was sent by the United States government to teach the children of U.S. diplomats.

The 63-year-old Butler native went to IUP and has taught in Columbia, Venezuela and other countries.

Marc’s mother, 95-year-old Malphine Fogel has told multiple outlets, including KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin that she is “heartbroken” her son wasn’t included in the historic prisoner swap.
