Fortnite is one of the most popular video games in the world. When Luc Bernard, came across a Claims Conference survey which said 80% of Americans hadn't been to a Holocaust museum, he made a digital one.
It’s called “Voices of the Forgotten.”
“ I actually think it's incredibly important, especially with the rise of Nazism becoming more and more mainstream because of social media,” he told KNX News’ Emily Valdez. “I think it's not even just a Jewish problem because, you know, Nazis…they're fascists and not just bigoted only against Jews, so I would say it's extremely important; however, Holocaust education needs to be completely rethought. It does ‘cause the current way, it's been done for decades works for the older generation, but doesn't work for its current generation.”
The Holocaust Museum in Fortnite focuses on the victims' stories because Bernard wasn't allowed to show photos of dead bodies or swastikas. Users inside the museum cannot dance or fight.
