Go-kart driver on L.A. freeway pulled over by CHP

LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A California Highway Patrol officer was investigating why traffic in Sherman Oaks was slow around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The reason why left him “shaking his head.”

“Where do we begin with how incredibly dangerous, stupid and illegal this was… by a group of young self-described 'YouTubers' looking for fresh content,” CHP West Valley posted on their Facebook page, along with a video of the incident.

What the officer discovered was a go-kart in the slow lane before taking an exit at Woodman Avenue. CHP also noted there were two cars that were “clearly escorting the kart.”

Officers said that while individuals did admit it was for video content, one driver was cited being a minor and driving outside of license provision. Meanwhile, officers said the kart driver was cited for “unlawful operation/impeding traffic.”
