They say that hindsight is 20/20 and in this case, for one man now facing a drunk driving charge, maybe dressing as a giant Bud Light can wasn't the smartest idea.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Department in Kansas had a unique traffic stop over the weekend, when deputies stopped a man dressed in a Bud Light can costume for suspicion of driving under the influence.
"A career in law enforcement is exciting, and you get to experience something new every day," the sheriff's department wrote on Facebook, sharing a photo of the suspect. "Sometimes you see things you can't believe!"
Police say the incident unfolded on Cinco de Mayo, when they were informed about a possibly intoxicated driver on the interstate.
"The vehicle was located and eventually pulled over. Deputies were surprised to see that the driver was wearing a beer can costume. Yes, you read that correctly," the department said.
While the man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to jail, there was no official word if he had actually been drinking Bud Light.
The unnamed suspect has since posted bond and is no longer in custody, WDAF-TV reported.
