GRANADA HILLS (CNS) - Authorities Monday identified a man who was shot to death by a homeowner during an attempted home invasion robbery in Granada Hills.
Officers were dispatched about 5 a.m. Saturday to the 11400 block of Swinton Avenue on a call of "shots fired" inside a residence, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
"When the officers arrived, they met with the homeowner ... who stated he was inside his residence when three unknown males broke into his house," police said in a statement. "The victim described the males as all wearing dark clothing, hoodies and masks."
One suspect pointed a weapon at the victim, who told police he feared for his life and produced a gun and fired shots, striking one of the men, according to the LAPD.
