A male pedestrian was struck and killed Monday morning while crossing lanes on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol just before 3 a.m. that a man was walking across lanes on the eastbound Ventura Freeway just west of De Soto Avenue.

The man was struck and pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued shutting down eastbound lanes 5 and 6 and the Canoga Avenue on-ramp to the eastbound Ventura Freeway.
