“I was at home in West Virginia this week, and I was part of food distributions there with Mountaineer Food Bank and Extra Mile, and Save the Children, and last night I was prepping my big meal for today, and it just hit me,” she said. “I have to do something…and I came down this morning to be here. I mean, there are so many people in need, and it seems to get worse. It does, and all you can do is focus on what you can do and today I get to serve all of these beautiful people and then go serve my beautiful family, and I'm just very, very thankful.”

On a regular day, the Midnight Mission serves more than 2,000 meals a day.
