DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (KNX) — More than 80 animals were removed from a Diamond Bar home this week after a concerned neighbor reported dirty and overcrowded conditions to law enforcement.
The Inland Valley Humane Society responded to the call on the home in the 1100 block of Flintlock Road early Tuesday morning, along with local police and fire crews.

According to neighbors, the resident was a woman in her 70s, a shut-in who had lived on the property for five years without water or power. Authorities transported the women to a hospital to be treated for unknown ailments.
Once human society staffers gained access to the home, they reported being overwhelmed by the odor. More than 80 live animals, mostly dogs and cats, were found to be residing on the property.
Officers also removed skeletal remains of several dead cats.
The animals found alive were transported to the Inland Valley Humane Society in Pomona, where they will remain pending the remainder of the investigation.
Authorities had also taped off the garage on the property, which appeared to be full of cardboard boxes. Warning signs were placed around the home saying it contained “hazardous materials.”
