A mountain lion was spotted roaming a San Dimas neighborhood, prompting warnings for residents to avoid the area while state and local authorities work to tranquilize the animal.
The lion was spotted along Foothill Ave. between San Dimas Ave. and San Dimas Canyon Rd.
Residents were advised to keep all pets in a secure area and remove any outdoor food that may attract the lion.
State Fish and Wildlife officials were on the scene, along with sheriff's department personnel, working to capture the lion, which appeared to be lying in some brush alongside the road
