OAKLAND, Calif. (KNX) – Oakland police are investigating an attempted home invasion that lead to a shooting.
It happened in February while the family was sleeping.
Three cars pulled up to the house as a group of men tried to open the door, according to KRON 4.
Homeowner Ken Johnson told the outlet his nephew, who lives downstairs, scared the burglars off by pounding on his door.
The burglars then opened fire, shooting at the house. Bullet casings were found near the house.
No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
