
A woman is dead after she was struck and killed by a Metro train in Burbank on Friday morning.
Chris Gutierrez, a spokesperson for Metrolink, told L.A.’s Morning News it happened just before 6 a.m.. between the Burbank Airport South and the Burbank downtown stations of Metrolink.
“What we know is all Ventura County Line trains are impacted as well as our codeshare Amtrak Pacific Surf Line trains that operate between Los Angeles and Ventura County Line trains 101 and 108 of Metrolink are canceled at this point,” he said.
He added there were 39 passengers onboard the train, but no injuries were reported.
Metrolink is working on helping passengers find alternate transportation to their destinations.
Bus service was created to help passengers get to and from the Hollywood Burbank Airport to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, according to City News Service.
