Police arrested and detained multiple suspects during a late night raid at a suspected illegal business in South Los Angeles, authorities said Friday.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department's 77th Division's vice squad arrived at an abandoned business in the 800 block of Florence Avenue between Hoover Boulevard and Vermont Avenue just around 11:13 p.m. Thursday, LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes told City News Service.

Officers served a search warrant at the location, where police believe was an illegal gambling operation, Cervantes said.

Fox 11 reported the location was also an illegal brothel and several people were arrested.

Cervantes said he could not confirm the number of people taken into custody.

Video from the scene shows several men and women running from the location as officers pursued them.
