Rams lock Stafford into $160 million contract extension through 2026

LOS ANGELES (KNX) — NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford has agreed to extend his contract with the Los Angeles Rams for four more years, through 2026. The decision comes on the heels of the Rams’ victory in Super Bowl LVI.

The deal signed by Stafford on Saturday was worth a reported $160 million, with $135 million guaranteed, according to ESPN.


Last year, Staffrod set a team record with 4,866 yards passing in the Rams’ 17-ga,e regular season. He tied Kurt Warner’s team record of 41 touchdown passes in the runup to the NFC West title. He led game-winning drives in the fourth quarter of the Rams’ final three postseason games, including their Super Bowl way over the Cincinnati Bengals.

ESPN reported the Rams are also working on a similar contract extension for defensive tackle Arron Donald.
