A Reseda homeowners hoarding has neighbors in the 19100 block of Cantara Street – right across the way from Cleveland High School – highly concerned.
Aerial views of the home show a large backyard with little ground space visible filled to the brim with cars, car parts, and what appears to be appliances and scrap metal.

Neighbors said the home is overflowing.
“The place is just filled with garbage,” Drew Lobenstein told KTLA. “There must be 40, 50 vehicles over there, all decaying,”
Councilman Bob Blumenfield represents the San Fernando Valley where the home is located. His staff members said this is not the first time there have been issues with the items all over the lot.
“A few years ago... our staff worked with LAFD and other departments when we were alerted to various fire code and building and safety violations at this site,” the Blumenfield’s team said in a statement shared with KNX.
“The owner was cited, vehicles were removed but the individual then sued the city, unsuccessfully."
Multiple complaints regarding the property are currently open with L.A. Department of Building and Safety regarding this property, according to Jake Flynn with Blumenfield's office.
Those complaints are "making their way through the process" and Blumenfield is working with departments on further mitigation, Flynn said.
