LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Riverside County Sheriff's deputies have arrested an Eleanor Rosevelt High School teacher on suspicion that she committed lewd acts with an underage student, investigators said Wednesday.
Amanda Quinonez, who is an English Language Arts teacher and water polo/swim coach, according to her online profile, was identified as the teacher after investigators found evidence that she committed the acts with one male student and allegedly "distributed harmful matter to that student which included explicit photos of a sexual nature."
Quinonez was arrested Tuesday while on the high school campus at 7447 Scholar Way in Eastvale, Calif., according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
She was then booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, Calif.
Invesitagators said the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information about the case, or who believes they may have been a victim, to call Investigator D. Schell at (951) 203-4306.
