Residents in a South Los Angeles neighborhood were evacuated on Wednesday after police found a large amount of illegal fireworks inside a home.
Officers served a search warrant at a home on East 85th St. around 6:30 a.m. in relation to a domestic violence incident, according to multiple reports. One person was arrested at the home.
Then, officers spotter thousands of pounds of consumer grade fireworks sacked throughout the house and garage. The department's bomb squad was then called in.
KNX News' Pete Demetriou reported that bomb technicians fi;;ed six 20 by 10 foot box trucks with the fireworks, and took them to a safe location for disposal. Detectives are questioning four adults who were in the home.
