In an interview with KNX News’ Craig Fiegener, Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath explained why she decided not to challenge Mayor Karen Bass re-election campaign.

“I am absolutely focused on my re-election,” she said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve at the county. I know that there were so many people who had our back, encouraging us to get into the race, and I am grateful to them.  We will continue working alongside them to improve our entire region, and I am grateful for their partnership, and we'll never forget it.”

When asked about her relationship with Bass, Horvath said she and Bass have their disagreements.

“And that's OK,” she said. “We should have conversations about how we get to the best solutions, but then we have to set things aside and get focused on the work, and that's what I'm about.”

As for whether she plans to endorse Bass, Horvath said Bass will have to ask her.
