Los Angeles police announced Friday they were searching for the suspected vandal of a San Fernando Valley Armenian Orthodox church.
The suspect, who investigators have only described as “male,” allegedly used a baseball bat to break eight stained-glass windows at the St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Van Nuys. The incident, which was captured on security cameras, occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The case is not currently being investigated as a hate crime, according to the LAPD.
Church administrators said a sign on the property was also vandalized. No injuries or other damage have been reported.
Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call the LAPD at (877) 577-3247.
