Police said the robber walked up to a teller and demanded money before running off with about $500.

Police caught up with a suspect on foot, identified as Justin Kearney Troy, about a mile away from the bank, police said.

When officers ordered him to stop, he kept going “with his hands in his pockets,” according to City News Service.

Officers used a police dog to help take Troy into custody and recover the money, police said.

Troy was taken to a hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during his arrest, according to KTLA. Once out of the hospital, he was booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of robbery.
