Former President Donald Trump will be in Southern California beginning on Friday.
Trump, who was convicted of 34 felony charges of falsifying business records in New York last week, will first attend a fundraiser in Beverly Hills on Friday. On Saturday, he will attend a fundraiser in Newport Beach.
On Thursday, Trump attended a frundraiser in San Francisco.
Tickets for the Beverly Hills fundraiser begin at $5,000, City News Service reported, citing an invitation. Tickets for Saturday’s event in Newport Beach, which will be held at the home insurance company owner John Word, begins at $3,300.
Trump’s campaign said they received nearly $35 million in donations hours after his conviction.
Mike Madrid, a Republican consultant in Sacramento, told KNX News’ Jon Baird, that if those numbers are true,
“So I think the surprise is really that people remain with him despite the 34 felony convictions despite being found guilty and responsible for sexual assault,” he said. “And yet not only are they supporting him and rallying around the flag, but they're also opening up their checkbook and sending him money.”
This trip marks Trump’s first visit to Southern California since he attended the Anaheim GOP Convention in September 2023.
