Located right on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, the Muscle Beach gym is known as "the home of bodybuilding," and boasts the names of participants like Lou Ferrigno and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"Bodybuilders and bodybuilding enthusiasts still flock to this outdoor gym to work out and be a part of the bodybuilding tradition," the city said on the gym's website, adding that it's been around since 1963.

"Muscle Beach Venice is open seven days a week except for major holidays and rainy days. Gym hours vary based on the time of year."

Interested in signing up now that Muscle Beach has reopened? The gym offers memberships from $200 annually for adults, $100 annually for seniors, and also offers day passes starting at $5.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday to celebrate the gym's reopening on the Venice Boardwalk.
