On Tuesday, the Chicago Cubs got a 2-1 win on the road at Cincinnati, snapping a 12-game losing streak.

Coming out of the Cubs bullpen for the save was newly-acquired relief pitcher Codi Heuer; the former Wichita State pitcher worked the final two innings, shutting down the Reds for two scoreless innings.

It was Heuer's first save for the Cubs, and only the second save of his career in the major leagues.

Heuer was a sixth-round draft pick by the Chicago White Sox out of
WSU in 2018. On July 30th, he was traded across town to the Cubs.

Since being traded, Heuer has pitched in eight games for the Cubs, with a 1.80 earned run average.
