Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected from Tuesday night's 119-116 loss to the Suns after Green hit Phoenix big man Jusuf Nurkic in the face. It marked the third time Green had been tossed from a game this season.

With 8:25 left in the third quarter, Green and Nurkic were jostling for position on an in-bounds play when Green spun around and took a wild swing with his right hand and struck Nurkic across the face.

Green was called for a foul before officials reviewed the incident and upgraded it to a flagrant 2, resulting in an automatic ejection.

After the game, Green insisted that he didn't intend to hit Nurkic and apologized to the center.

“He was pulling my hip and I was swinging away to sell the call, made contact with him," Green said. "As you know, I’m not one to apologize for things that I meant to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him. I sell calls with my arms. I don't fall to sell a call. I'm not a flopper."

Green has now been ejected in three of the 15 games he's appeared in this season.

Green was suspended for five games after his most recent ejection for choking Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert. He's likely facing another penalty for this latest incident.
