In this edition of Top-10 Stats of the Week, the Kansas Jayhawks make some NCAA Tournament history on the men's side, the South Carolina Gamecocks earn a national title over a powerhouse, and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James makes his own history -- for all the wrong reasons.

Largest comeback -- Prior to Monday, no team in Men's NCAA Tournament history had ever completed a comeback of 16-plus points during the national title game. Congratulations are in order for Kansas, as they achieved the feat and captured their fourth championship with a 72-69 win over North Carolina.

46-1 -- North Carolina entered Monday night with a perfect 46-0 record when leading by double digits at halftime in the NCAA Tournament. Now, 46-1.

50 -- Carolina's upset victory over archival Duke on Mar. 5 evened their series at 50-50 over the past 100 games. The Tar Heels added one more win to their tally in the Final Four on Saturday night, marking the end to Mike Krzyzewski's legendary coaching career.

5th -- Tar Heels head coach Hubert Davis, who succeeded legendary coach Roy Williams this past season, became just the fifth first-year leader in history to reach the final round of the NCAA Men's Tournament.

16 -- The Sacramento Kings have now gone 16 consecutive seasons without reaching the NBA playoffs, the longest streak in league history. Even the lowly New York Knicks have made the playoffs four times over this timeframe.

49 -- Philadelphia native Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks won the women's national championship over perennial power UConn on Sunday. They limited the Huskies to just 49 points, the second-fewest points they've ever recorded in an NCAA Women's Tournament game.

First -- Geno Auriemma entered Sunday a perfect 11-0 in national title games as head coach of UConn, dating back to 1995. This double-digit loss to South Carolina was his first.

17/0 -- In the Indiana Pacers' road loss to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, Tyrese Haliburton recorded 17 assists with zero turnovers. This odd stat line hadn't been accomplished in the NBA for more than four years. And the last player to produce a game like was LeBron James. Oh, speaking of LeBron...

16 -- The Los Angeles Lakers are now a pitiful 16 games below the .500 mark, and in jeopardy of missing the playoffs. In his illustrious 19-year career, James has never had a team this many games below .500 -- at any point. The Lakers currently have five first-ballot Hall of Famers and six champions on their roster.

50 -- Despite a road loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant recorded a career-high 55 points on Saturday, his third time scoring at least 50 points all season. Nobody else has accomplished this feat during the 2021-22 campaign. Not too shabby for a stud who's missed nearly 30 games this season.
