As with every matchup between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets, there will always be a moment or two that causes a stir on social media.
During the game of the second "Subway Series" this season between both squads on Monday, there was no shortage of viral moments, including Anthony Rizzo going berzerk on an ump for calling him back from third on an errant play.
One fan in the crowd, who likely had a bit too much to drink, decided it was time for him to take part in the action, up close and personal -- jumping the wall and running around the field before eventually getting recked by secruity.
The fan was then escorted off the field while boos from the crowd relentlessly rained down on him.
As for the game itself, the Yankees scored a 4-2 victory over the Mets, the team’s second in a row. Prior to that, the Bronx Bombers beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-2, on Sunday.
This is a good sign for a team that has had a horrible stretch of play that made even the team's biggest supporters question if they can win a World Series.
Aaron Judge had a great night, going 2-3 with a home run while Andrew Benintendi was 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs driven in.
Domingo German picked up the win after tossing for 6.1 innings and allowing a couple of runs (one earned) on four hits.
