The list of nominees were announced Tuesday morning (September 1) for the 54th annual CMA Awards.
Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs and Maren Morris were among this year's well-deserved top nominees, but eyebrows were raised when other favorites in the genre didn't get their name called.
Here are some artists that were left out of the mix:
Jason Aldean
This marks back-to-back years for Aldean reeling in zero nominations for the CMA's. Odd not to see one of country music's biggest names in any category, especially Entertainer of the Year.

Kane Brown
From multiple chart topping hits to incredible streaming numbers, Brown was overlooked and finds himself on this years "snubs" list. For a career that has skyrocketed in the past few years, Brown highly deserves some recognition.

Kelsea Ballerini
It was a heartbreaking day for the "Homecoming Queen?" singer as she found out her name didn't make the nomination list. She recently released her third studio album and would have been a strong contender for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Blake Shelton
The Oklahoma native has been a force this past year, especially after teaming up with girlfriend Gwen Stefani. Their duet, "Nobody But You," found itself on top of the charts, but missed out on a nomination for Musical Event of the Year.

Sam Hunt
Sure we waited 6 years for new music from Hunt, but once it arrived we couldn't turn it off. After having monster success with the 3-time CMA nominated song "Body Like A Backroad," Hunt was nowhere to be found on this year's nomination list.

This year's awards ceremony will air live on ABC on November 11, broadcast from the iconic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN.
