Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs has died, the team announced.
The Angels are currently in Texas to play the Rangers, but Major League Baseball has canceled Monday night's game as a result of the news.
Skaggs, a Santa Monica native, had just pitched against the Oakland A's on Saturday.
Details surrounding his death are unclear.
A press release from the Southlake Police Department says that Skaggs was found unresponsive in his hotel room Monday afternoon.
No foul play is suspected, but an ongoing investagation will continue.
