During Tuesday's press conference, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he’ll be releasing new restrictions for the state, which is set to include some stay-at-home orders.

"If you're not going to stay home and you're not going to wear masks in public, we have to enforce and we will," he stated.

According to ABC 7 News, Newsom said he'd be announcing the return of some stay-at-home restrictions, but didn't specify if the restrictions would apply statewide or only to certain areas of high concern.

After saying a stay at home order announcement is coming, Gov. Newsom also voiced his concerns about family gatherings just days before Fourth of July.

"That is the top concern our health officers have after surveying them this weekend," he said.

New enforcement orders will be announced tomorrow as coronavirus cases surge.
